Oak, walnut, ash, pine, and dozens of other wood finishes in a range of plank widths and lengths. Narrow strips give a traditional parquet-style look; wide boards suit contemporary open-plan interiors. The surface embossing — in synchronised or random grain patterns — determines how realistic the finish looks. We can show you samples across the quality range so you can compare them side by side.
Laminate tiles in slate, marble, concrete, and stone finishes — warmer underfoot than real tiles, easier to maintain, and significantly cheaper to supply and fit. These work particularly well in hallways, dining rooms, and kitchen-diner areas that do not see standing water.
Premium laminate at 10mm or 12mm thickness feels substantially more solid underfoot, produces less hollow sound on impact, and carries better AC durability ratings. Not all laminate is rated for underfloor heating. We carry products specifically certified for UFH use, and we match the underlay choice to ensure the heat can transfer effectively. Laminate boards must acclimatise to the room temperature and humidity before fitting — typically 48 hours. We arrange delivery in advance of the fitting date so this step is never skipped.
We check the subfloor for levelness (laminate requires a tolerance of no more than 3mm in any 1.8m span), fix any squeaky boards, and fill dips or high spots. On concrete, we check moisture levels.
We lay the appropriate underlay with joints taped flat, and a vapour barrier on concrete subfloors. The underlay choice affects how the floor feels, sounds, and performs over UFH.
Boards are clicked together in the planned layout, with a minimum 10mm expansion gap left at all walls and fixed obstacles. We plan the layout to minimise narrow offcuts at the edges and to ensure the pattern looks intentional across the room.
We fit matching beading or re-set skirting to cover expansion gaps, and install appropriate threshold strips at doorways and transitions between floor types. The room is vacuumed and left clean.
