The right underlay depends on the flooring type and the room. For carpets, we typically recommend a quality 10mm or 12mm PU foam underlay which provides excellent comfort, insulation, and extends carpet life. For laminate, a thinner acoustic underlay reduces noise. We always include the appropriate underlay in our quotes and will explain the options to you.

We carefully move furniture within the room or to an adjacent room as we work, and put everything back once the flooring is fitted. For very heavy or specialist items (pianos, large fish tanks, etc.), we ask that you arrange for these to be moved beforehand. We always protect your belongings and take care throughout the process.

Yes. We regularly fit all types of flooring on concrete subfloors. Where necessary, we will apply a suitable damp-proof membrane (DPM) or self-levelling compound to ensure a smooth, dry base. Proper subfloor preparation is essential for a long-lasting finish, and we never cut corners on this step.
