Luxury Vinyl Tile — LVT — sits in a different category from standard vinyl. The surface wear layer is thicker and more precisely embossed, the planks or tiles are dimensionally stable (they do not expand and contract like laminate), and the result genuinely looks and feels like the wood or stone it replicates. For West London homes where hard flooring has become the dominant choice in living areas and kitchens, LVT delivers a high-end result without the cost or maintenance demands of the real thing.
We are based in Cranford and fit LVT across the full West London area — Hounslow, Chiswick, Brentford, Ealing, Twickenham, Richmond, Hayes, and beyond. We carry samples from a range of leading suppliers and offer both click-lock floating installation and glue-down methods, depending on your subfloor and room requirements. Every job includes thorough subfloor preparation — the detail most people do not see but which determines how the floor looks in five years' time.

LVT is available in a wide range of designs and formats. Here are the main categories we supply and fit across West London.
The most popular LVT format in West London homes. Available in oak, walnut, ash, grey wash, and dozens of other colourways, these planks replicate real timber boards with embossed grain texture. Width and length options range from narrow strip styles to wide boards for a contemporary look. Compatible with underfloor heating in most cases.
LVT tiles in marble, travertine, slate, and concrete finishes deliver the look of natural stone in kitchens, hallways, and open-plan areas — without the weight, cold, or expense. The surface texture replicates grout lines and surface variation convincingly, while remaining warm and resilient underfoot.
Herringbone layouts transform a hallway or kitchen-diner into something genuinely striking. LVT planks sized and designed for herringbone installation are fitted at 45° to create the distinctive chevron pattern. This layout requires accurate planning and precise cutting — it is one of the more skilled flooring installations, and we are experienced in it.
Click-lock LVT planks and tiles float over the subfloor, connected by a locking system. No adhesive is required, which means faster installation and the ability to replace individual boards if they are ever damaged. The underside padding layer provides warmth and a degree of acoustic dampening — useful in apartment blocks with acoustic requirements.
Glue-down LVT is adhered directly to the subfloor. The result is a slimmer profile, completely rigid surface, and excellent performance under heavy traffic or wheeled loads — making it the preferred method for kitchens, open-plan areas, and commercial or light commercial settings. Requires a very well-prepared and flat subfloor.
For West London offices, retail units, clinics, and workspaces, we supply and fit commercial-rated LVT with 0.55mm or 0.7mm wear layers — rated for heavy foot traffic and wheeled loads. These products carry EN 685 classification ratings and meet the durability requirements of most commercial leases.
Unlike real wood or laminate, LVT will not swell, warp, or delaminate if water is spilled — or in the event of a minor leak. This makes it safe for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms where wood and laminate flooring would not be recommended.
Most LVT ranges are rated for use over underfloor heating systems (typically up to 27°C surface temperature). The dimensional stability of LVT means it does not expand and contract significantly with temperature changes — unlike real wood, which can gap and cup over UFH.
A vacuum and a damp mop is all LVT needs. There is no waxing, oiling, sanding, or re-sealing required. In a busy West London household — or a rental property — that low maintenance overhead is genuinely valuable.
LVT typically costs a fraction of the equivalent real wood or natural stone product, including fitting. For large open-plan areas — a frequent feature of West London homes that have had rear extensions — the saving can be very significant without any visible compromise in appearance.
